Essentials (don't skip)
- Passport + copies: Keep a digital copy on your phone.
- International card + some cash: For small shops and tips.
- Phone + power bank: Long day trips need backup power.
- Travel insurance: Recommended for water activities.
Clothing (simple capsule packing)
- Breathable t-shirts / tops
- Shorts + light trousers
- 1–2 nicer outfits for dinner/photos
- Swimwear + cover-up
- Light jacket (early mornings / AC)
Temple etiquette items
Many temples require modest clothing. Carry:
- Sarong (or use one provided at entrance)
- Light shawl / scarf
Beach + day tour kit
- Reef-safe sunscreen
- Hat + sunglasses
- Reusable water bottle
- Dry bag or waterproof pouch
Medicines & personal care
- Basic medicines (fever, cold, motion sickness)
- Band-aids + antiseptic wipes
- Mosquito repellent
- Any prescription meds (with prescription)
Electronics & adapters
- Universal adapter
- Charging cables + spare
- Earphones for flights and long drives
What NOT to carry
- Too many shoes (2 pairs are enough: sandals + walking shoes)
- Heavy denim (hot + slow to dry)
- Bulky towels (most stays provide)

- Wet season (Nov–Mar): compact rain jacket, quick-dry clothes, extra socks
- Dry season (Apr–Oct): sunscreen, hats, light breathable clothing
